4 Tips as to why you’re not reaching your goal

1. You’re not following a plan.

If you’re going into the gym, with no plan/program you’re seriously going to struggle. A program is going to motivate you, track your progress and give you direction going into workouts. It will also help you to ACHIEVE your goal providing it has been well thought out (not copied and pasted off google!).

We’ve all been to commercial gyms to see the same people day in day out, using the same weights, doing the same reps, at the same intensity. There has literally been no progression! How do you expect your body to change, when you’re not giving it a reason to?

2. Not sustainable.

You’re following a plan, again most likely copy and pasted, that you can’t sustain for more than a week without breaking routine. In order to get results, and more importantly KEEP THEM, you have to be doing something you can see yourself following years down the line. There is no use getting from A to B in 8 weeks and looking good for a week, before you go on a self-empathy binge, to the point you look in even worse shape than you did at the start!

Follow a sustainable plan. Don’t run yourself into the ground training 14 times a week.

Eat foods you ENJOY.
Train the way you ENJOY.

3. You’re N.E.A.T levels are low.

N.E.A.T stands for Non-Exercise Activity Thermogenesis. Basically, how active you are throughout the day! What a lot of people don’t realise, is they can burn calories throughout the day without actually going to the gym. Crazy right?

Washing up? Burns calories. Hoovering? Burns calories. See what I’m getting at?

Walk to work rather than drive. Take the stairs rather than the escalator.

4. You

At the end of the day, you’ve got to put in the work. Break out of this comfort zone you’re in and push yourself. Change happens when you’re uncomfortable. This point kind of contradicts point 2, but if you’re not seeing results, it’s more than likely you’re staying comfortable. I’m not saying if your goal is to lose weight, to eat 600 calories and train 14 times a week. I’m saying CHANGE what you’re doing now. Not everything works the same for everybody.
